HEY FRIEND! I'm Kara
I'm so glad you're here on my little corner of the internet where I share all things business & design. Palme Design Co. is a studio focused on website + branding design for photographers and creatives.

There’s a certain kind of full-circle moment in this work that makes me want to do a little happy dance.
Amanda came to me a couple of years ago for her branding. Logo, colors, fonts, the whole visual foundation. We built something warm, editorial, and completely her. And then she went out there and did her thing… like making custom stickers and packaging for her client gifts with her new logos that always made me so giddy to see.
Here’s what she had to say about her branding experience & working together the first time around:
”I needed a new brand/logo to help me reconnect with my business and I did not have a particular vision in mind, I just knew I needed to feel connected to myself and my business. Kara came up with a main logo and secondary logos for me which absolutely felt like they belonged to me! I am so thrilled to use my new logos throughout my business and the new color pallet is so stunning! Can not wait to implement it all in my business. I say book her!!! In the future she will definitely be taking care of my website! THANK YOU!!”
Fast forward to early 2026, and Amanda came back. And this time she was ready for the wedding photographer website to match (and BOY did it need to match, her old website was not serving the way her new branding was!)
And wow. WOW. Let’s talk about the transformation.
Amanda is a New Hampshire wedding photographer with five years of experience and over 80 weddings under her belt. But what makes her different isn’t just the photos. It’s the entire experience she creates.
Amanda…
Shows up the morning of your wedding with a personalized gift.
Hands you polaroids at the end of the day.
Makes behind-the-scenes iPhone videos and sends them the very next morning.
Builds breathing room into your timeline so you can actually feel your wedding day instead of rushing through it.
She’s also (and this is so important) the kind of person that your wedding guests will talk about after. Her couples have literally told her that even the guests loved having her there.
Her brand needed to say all of that without saying any of it directly. It needed to feel like her.
Now, let’s look at a side-by-side comparison:

Okay, I’ll be honest. The old website was doing her a disservice.
It felt scattered. Generic. Like it could have belonged to any photographer, anywhere. The warm, intimate, dreamy energy that Amanda brings to every single wedding? Nowhere to be found.
When she came back to work together on the full site, we started with what we already had: her branding. That warm sage and brown palette. The elegant “A” monogram. The script and serif pairing that walks the line between romantic and refined.
The website needed to become an extension of that. Not just a place to list her services, but a full sensory experience that made couples feel like they were already in her world.
Beyond that, she needed a website that did the selling for her, so that she could step into the next level of her business. No more chasing down leads or justifying her premium rates, just aligned leads that were already sold on working with her before they ever filled out her inquiry form.

This is a fully custom Showit website. Every page, every section, built intentionally from scratch.
The homepage opens with a full-bleed hero that immediately pulls you in. Stunning imagery, a clear headline, and copy that speaks directly to her dream couple: the ones who want connection over perfection, presence over performance, and images that feel like them.
The about page feels personal in the best way. You get to know Amanda as a human (her golden retriever Cooper, her dark romance book obsession, her husband) before you even get to her credentials. Because that’s how she operates. Connection first, always.
The services page walks potential clients through her three offerings in a way that feels elevated and clear. No confusion. No overwhelm. Just a really beautiful, well-organized presentation of what she does and why it matters.
The portfolio page is exactly what a wedding photography website should be: stunning imagery, beautifully curated, with real couple names and stories attached. It doesn’t just show her work. It tells it.
The contact page has a genuinely thoughtful inquiry form that asks couples about their vibe, their vision, their wedding day, before they’ve even spoken to her. It filters for the right people and sets the tone for the whole experience. And strategically placed on her contact page are testimonials to help reinforce that Amanda is amazing at what she does.
And across every single page, consistent branding. The logo, the colors, the fonts, the textures, all of it working together like it was always meant to look this way.
(Spoiler: it was.)

After we wrapped, she filled out her offboarding questionnaire. When I asked what made her come back to work with me instead of going somewhere else, she said:
“I worked with you for my logo and branding and it was perfect, so when I needed my website done I knew I was going to go back to you.”
And when I asked about the overall process and result:
“The overall process was amazing. The final result, even better. My favorite part of working with you is that you are so easy to work with and get along with. You created a website I am actually so excited for and exactly what I wanted. You should book Kara, she is so kind and knows what she is doing! Also, the results are always 10/10 and if you don’t vibe with something she is so easy to tell and will listen to you about what you actually want. Finding a kind person who does great work will always get my business.”
Was there anything I could have done to make it better? Her answer was simply: “HA. nothing.”
lolol okay Amanda, I’ll take it. 🤍
Here’s what this project reminded me (again): a beautiful logo means nothing if the website doesn’t carry it through. And a great website means nothing if it isn’t rooted in a brand that actually reflects who you are.
When both pieces are built intentionally, when they’re talking to each other visually and emotionally, that’s when the magic happens. That’s when a potential client lands on your site and immediately thinks: yes, this is my person.
That’s what Amanda has now.
Because I strongly believe that you can’t have one without the other… I’ve created Booked & Branded, my 2-Day Intensive where we build your branding and your website in two focused days. A streamlined process that gets you a brand and website you (and your dream clients) obsessed with, without the months-long timeline.
